BOW, N.H. (03/01/2012)(readMedia)-- Although many car shoppers are lured in by low upfront costs, MSRP isn't always a reliable indicator of the best long-term automotive value. According to IntelliChoice's 2012 Best Overall Value of the Year awards, minivan shoppers seeking to save in the long run should look to the 2012 Toyota Sienna. Currently available at Toyota dealerships , the new Sienna is projected by the automotive researchers at IntelliChoice to cost the least in its class during the initial five years of ownership, saving owners thousands of dollars over its minivan competition.
The team at IntelliChoice analyzed around 1,800 vehicle models in 24 segments during the past year to find the best overall values. Class-topping models were those that cost significantly less than expected to finance and care for when compared to their peers. The 2012 Toyota Sienna outdid all competition in the Minivan segment thanks to its projected five-year ownership cost of $37,281, which is more than $3,000 less than the average five-year cost of its classmates.
